Where is the Neuropsychiatric Institute ?
The Neuropsychiatric Institute & Hospital and the Department of Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences are based on the Westwood Campus of the University of California, Los Angeles.

NPH inpatient services are located in the NPI Building at 760 Westwood Plaza.

Most outpatient services are provided in the 300 Medical Plaza building.

If driving to the campus, please refer to the maps below to supplement these directions. Remember, traffic can be congested on the Los Angeles highways, so allow ample time if coming for an appointment. You can check freeway speeds at this CalTrans website.

From the North (San Fernando Valley) or the South (LAX, Long Beach, Orange County)

  • Take the San Diego Freeway (I-405) towards Westwood; exit at Wilshire Boulevard, heading East (to Westwood)
  • Go under the 405, through 3 intersections (Sepulveda, Veteran, and Midvale-Gayley) and turn left (North) at the 4th traffic light (onto Westwood Boulevard).
  • Go north on Westwood Blvd; slow down when you cross Le Conte Avenue at the 4th traffic light and enter the UCLA Campus area
  • The next intersection is called "Medical Plaza". To go to the 300 MP building, turn left at that light and park in the underground parking area. To go to the NPI building, you can turn right and park in the lot near the Jules Stein Eye Institute.
From the East (downtown LA) or the West (Santa Monica)
  • Take the Santa Monica Freeway (I-10) toward the intersection with the 405 (San Diego Fwy)
  • Take the 405 North; exit at Wilshire Boulevard, heading East (to Westwood)
  • Go under the 405, through 3 intersections (Sepulveda, Veteran, and Midvale-Gayley) and turn left (North) at the 4th traffic light (onto Westwood Boulevard).
