You may have become aware of your student's learning problem in different
ways. Perhaps you suspect your child has a learning deficit or disability,
or a processing problem. Perhaps you have been told your child has another
kind of learning disorder or psychiatric diagnosis which impacts academic
functioning. Perhaps you worry that your child has a "learning difference."
Each of these labels or diagnoses is a different way of seeing the wide
variety of learning problems children have. Or perhaps no "label" has
been applied to your child, but you can see there is a problem. We will
