The MASS Unit is the principal data processing resource in the Center for Research on Treatment & Rehabilitation of Psychosis.  Consultation is available on research design, data management, biostatistics and computers. Projects receive direct services including data management, data analysis, preparation of presentation graphics, ongoing questions of project management, and microcomputer support.

The Unit stimulates and eases collaboration between IRC researchers and the sharing of information across projects. To assure a high level of quality for the Research Center, the MASS Unit isMASS.gif (37245 bytes) responsible for regularly conducting audits and internal checks. Besides its own ongoing consultation, access is provided to expert consultation in areas such as biostatistics and bioethics. The Unit helps the Center's investigators in efficient and effective use of computing resources, and serves as a general information resource. Finally, the Unit serves as a methodological resource for scientists outside our Center by making locally developed data management tools widely available and by publishing and presenting methodological, data analytic and quality assurance innovations.
