| The CPN Lab examines the role of information-processing,
neuropsychological, and psychophysiological contributors to vulnerability to schizophrenia
and to the course of schizophrenic disorders. The CPN Lab facilitates study of these
contributors in combination with variables from psychopharmacological, neuroanatomical,
behavioral, symptomatic, and familial domains within the Research Center's studies. Over a
dozen independent investigators are involved in these collaborative ventures. The CPN Lab
investigators also consult with many investigators in other parts of the U.S.A. as well as
several other countries. The CPN Lab develops and refines specialized assessment
instruments and paradigms for information processing, psychophysiological, and
neuropsychological research of relevance to schizophrenia. Dr. Keith Nuechterlein (right) and Dr. Kenneth

Psychophysiological measures are collected at the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center. The Cognition, Psychophysiology, and Neuropsychology Laboratory (CPN Lab) facilities are located at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute, the UCLA Department of Psychology, the USC Department of Psychology, and the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center. Major investigators in the CPN Lab include Michael Dawson, Ph.D. (Professor of Psychology at USC), Michael Green, Ph.D. (Professor of Medical Psychology at UCLA), and Cindy Yee-Bradbury, Ph.D. (Assistant Professor of Psychology at UCLA).
