General Information

Mission

Our mission is research and training on social, behavioral, and psychological factors affecting human physiological processes and health.

Current projects include:

  1. Family history of hypertension and psychological factors affecting ambulatory blood pressure in healthy people and
  2. Yoga as a complementary treatment for depression (click here for more information).

Past projects include:

  1. Relations between blood pressure, cognitive functions, and brain processes assessed by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in healthy elderly people,
  2. External and internal cues for smoking in day to day lives of smokers,
  3. Mood changes associated with yoga practices,
  4. Psychophysiological reactivity in adolescents with attention deficit disorder (ADD), and
  5. Psychophysiological factors in meditation.
