Mission
Our mission is research and training on social, behavioral, and psychological factors affecting human physiological processes and health.
Current projects include:
- Family history of hypertension and psychological factors affecting ambulatory blood pressure in healthy people and
- Yoga as a complementary treatment for depression (click here for more information).
Past projects include:
- Relations between blood pressure, cognitive functions, and brain processes assessed by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in healthy elderly people,
- External and internal cues for smoking in day to day lives of smokers,
- Mood changes associated with yoga practices,
- Psychophysiological reactivity in adolescents with attention deficit disorder (ADD), and
- Psychophysiological factors in meditation.
