Low-Fee and No-Fee Resources

Here are some resources that may help those who have limited financial resources to receive mental health care.

  • Low fee therapy in the Los Angeles area
  • Patient Assistance Programs from pharmaceutical companies who can make their medications available to those who otherwise cannot afford them.
  • TheMedicineProgram.com, a national organization (based in Missouri) that assists people with limited resources in navigating through the process of getting medications for a reduced fee.
  • California State Disability Insurance (SDI): information from the California State Employment Development Department (EDD) which administers SDI in California. Many individuals who are disabled on the basis of a mental disorder may be eligible for support during the time they are unable to work. In addition to California, similar programs exist in Rhode Island, New Jersey, New York, Hawaii, and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
